The district committee of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) has urged the State government to initiate steps to implement the Light Metro project. The Chief Minister should immediately convene a meeting to clear the apprehensions surrounding the project.
In a statement, LDF district committee convener V. Gangadharan said the government had spent almost Rs.180 crore for preparing the project report.
It had the responsibility to provide all the facts about the project to the public, the statement said.
