Genetic lab to be set up at MCH

A genetic lab for diagnosing genetic and congenital disorders in infants will be set up at the Child Development Centre at Medical College hospital at a cost of Rs. 3.6 crore, the Health Minister, V. S. Sivakumar, has said.

He was inaugurating a training programme for ASHA volunteers, as part of a programme of CDC to check congenital disorders in children below six years, in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday.
