Police retrieve up to ₹4 lakh siphoned off from accounts

Reporting suspected banking frauds within the first hour of their occurrence may help you get your money back. The City police have cautioned that any delay in doing so may adversely affect the possibility of retrieving the money siphoned off from bank accounts.

According to City Police Commissioner P. Prakash, a team of officers trained in handling such cases have been constituted at the cyber cell in his office. They have been successful in ensuring the retrieval of various sums, totalling to around ₹4 lakh in the past few days.

The police have been receiving several complaints against cyber criminals. The law enforcers have urged the public to bring such instances to their notice within an hour or at least two hours after the fraudulent transactions have been made.
