Implementation of the Food Security Bill will put an end to starvation deaths and suicides, Congress leader and Haryana Minister for Industries and Commerce Randeep Singh Surjewala has said.

Mr. Singh was addressing a seminar on Food Security Bill-2013 at Indira Bhavan here on Tuesday as part of a Congress campaign. Mr. Singh, the former national president of the Youth Congress, has currently been authorised to campaign for the Bill.

Those who had been campaigning that the Bill was moved with an eye on the elections had no concern for the impoverished in the country, Mr. Singh said.
