“Emerging Kerala” has got a celebrity blogger. The celebrity is none other than actor Mohanlal, who, in his latest posting on his blog, has batted in favour of the mega industrial investment initiative of the State government to be held in September.
For Mohanlal, “Emerging Kerala” is not just an investment meet, but an event that will open the doors to cultural and commercial exchange between Kerala and the world, bringing in winds of change that will promote industrial development and growth.
He says in the blog that he views “Emerging Kerala” as a mission to recapture what the State had lost in terms of industrial development. Comparing Kerala with other States, he says he is disappointed that Kerala has fallen far behind.

“I don’t believe any political movement could be blamed for this. All those who ruled us and those who gave opportunities to the rulers, including myself, are responsible,” he says in his blog. However, the lost opportunities can be recaptured through committed work, without preconception. I perceive “Emerging Kerala” in this light. It is a mission. A big effort, with a lot of hope, for a new Kerala, he says.
Mohanlal has been blogging for some time now, but this is the first time that he has dwelt on industrial development of the State. The blog, according to the organisers of “Emerging Kerala,” will be a morale booster for the event.
