The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) has accused the CPI(M) of seeking a tacit understanding with the government to end the ongoing agitation demanding the resignation of Finance Minister K.M. Mani.

Talking to reporters here on Wednesday, BJYM State president V. Sudheer alleged that the stir launched by the CPI(M) on the bar bribery issue was aimed at hoodwinking the public. “They are trying for a settlement with the government to end the agitation,” Mr. Sudheer said.

He said the BJYM would intensify its agitation.

“Despite the government’s attempts to crush the stir using the police, we are determined to prevent Mr.Mani from presenting the budget on March 13.

Tens of thousands of our volunteers will block every road to the Assembly complex and lay siege to the building,” he said.
