CM, Sudheeran told to appear as witnesses

Speaker N. Sakthan on Monday issued notices to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president V.M. Sudheran to appear as witnesses at 2 p.m. on October 15 on a complaint by Government Chief Whip Thomas Unniyadan seeking to initiate disqualification proceedings against P.C. George, MLA.

The Speaker has also asked V.D. Satheesan, T.N. Prathapan, M.V. Shreyams Kumar, A. Pradeep Kumar, and V.S. Sunil Kumar, MLAs; Legislature Secretary P.D. Sarangadharan; and Kerala Congress (Secular) leader T.S. John to appear in connection with a case as per the demand of Mr. George.

Mr. George said that he would give a list of witnesses later. He did not appear for cross-examination before the Speaker on Monday. The Speaker directed him to appear at 10 a.m. on October 15.
