City schools put up good show in SSLC

Pass percentage in Thiruvananthapuram revenue district is 97.96

Winners all: Students of the St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School celebrating their stellar success in the SSLC examinations in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday.

City schools put up a good show in the SSLC examinations the results of which were announced here on Monday.

A number of government schools in the city registered 100% success. These included Government High School (HS), Jagathy; Government HS, Vanchiyoor; Government HSS for Boys, Karamana; Government Central HS, Attakulangara; Government Sanskrit HS, Fort; Government HS, Chala; GG HSS, Peroorkada; Government Medical College HSS, Government HS, Kalady; Government HSS, Pettah; Government HS, Sreekaryam; Government Model HSS for Boys, Chala, and so on.

In the aided sector, students of St. John’s Model HSS, Nalanchira; St. Goretti’s girls HS, Nalanchira; NSS HSS, Kesavadasapuram; St. Philomena’s Girls HS, Poonthura; Fort Boys HS; NSS HSS, Palkulangara; Salvation Army HSS, Kowdiar; Concordia LHSS, Peroorkada; Haji CHMKM Vocational Higher Secondary School; registered 100% success.

RKD NSS HSS, Sasthamangalam, secured 100% results for the eighth consecutive year. Of the 78 students who appeared for the examinations, three secured A+ in all subjects.

In the unaided sector, St. Thomas HSS, Mukkolakkal; Christ Nagar English Higher Secondary School; Nirmala Bhavan Girls HSS, Kowdiar; Holy Angel’s Convent High School; MMR HSS, Neeramankara; Carmel Girls HSS; Chinmaya Vidyalaya, registered 100 % success.

Students of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, Nalanchira, secured 100% results. St. Therese’s Convent GHSS, Neyyattinkara, secured 100% pass, with 72 students securing A+ in all subjects.

Vyasa Vidya Bhavan, Machel, secured 100% pass, with one student securing A+ in all subjects.

The pass percentage in the Thiruvananthapuram revenue district was 97.96. Of the 35,577 students who appeared for the examinations, 34,851 became eligible for higher studies. Of them, 17,314 were boys and 17,537 girls.

Of the 3,611 students who obtained A+ in all subjects in the district, 1,140 were boys and 2,471 were girls.

As many as 1,516 students secured A+ in the Attingal educational district; 956 in the Thiruvananthapuram educational district; and 1,139 in Neyyattinkara district.
