Cancellation not to affect medical aspirants: CEE

June 16, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:45 am IST - THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:

Even as the cancellation of the All India Medical Entrance Examinations by the Supreme Court triggered anxiety among parents and MBBS course aspirants, the office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) has maintained that the cancellation is unlikely impact the prospects of those who hade written both the Kerala and the all-India entrance examinations.

A senior official at the CEE’s office said here on Monday that the all-India quota would remain intact and that allotments to the same can wait for some time more. The quota needs to be surrendered only by September 2. So the retest and the publication of the results of the all-India entrance can be done any time in the next two months.

“We are anyway not going to allot students to the all-India quota now,” the official pointed out.
