The State Election Commission has said the by-election in the Vazhottukonam ward (Ward no 35 – General seat) of the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation and the Ayikkudi ward of the Kadakkavoor grama panchayat will be held on March 5.
According to an official release, the notification of the poll process will be issued on February 9. Those intending to contest the polls will have time until February 16 to file their nominations. The scrutiny of nominations will take place on February 17 and candidates will be able to withdraw their nominations until February 19.
