The bar bribery scandal took a new turn with ‘voice clips’ stated to contain statements by bar owners who had allegedly handed over money to Finance Minister K.M. Mani becoming public late Tuesday evening.

The voice clips, the authenticity of which are yet to be proved, were those of bar owners speaking at a crucial meeting of the Bar Owners’ Association explaining how they had gone about handing over money to Mr. Mani.

Association vice-president Biju Ramesh had stated that he would hand over the ‘evidence’ against Mr. Mani to the Vigilance team investigating the bar bribery charges on Wednesday.
