Veteran actor Madhu has been selected for the seventh Muthukulam Raghavanpillai award in recognition of his contribution to the Malayalam film industry.
The award instituted by the Muthukulam Raghavanpillai cultural committee in memory of playwright, actor, and lyricist Muthukulam Raghavanpillai.
The award comprises a purse of Rs.10,000 and a citation. The selection was done by a jury led by film director Harikumar and comprising poet and journalist Indrababu and writer R. Santhoshbabu. The award will be given away by the former Minister for Culture M.A. Baby at the Muthukulam Raghavanpillai commemoration to be held at Muthukulam on August 9.
