The passengers can choose any of the three languages — Malayalam, Hindi, or English — to operate the ATVMs. The passengers intending to buy a general ticket (unreserved ticket) or platform ticket have to buy a smart card available in the value of Rs.100 onwards from Railways. The smart card will have to be inserted in the ATVM to buy the ticket by selecting the destination stationand other details. The smart cards are valid for six months.
