The CPI(M) has demanded action against the UDF candidate in the Pattambi constituency, C.P. Mohammed, for trying to bribe a voter.
In a petition to the Election Commission of India and the Chief Electoral Officer, Kerala, party secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan called for disqualification of Mr. Mohammed for violation of the electoral code of conduct and legal action under the provisions of the Representation of People’s Act.
Mr. Mohammed of the Congress is the sitting MLA from the Pattambi constituency.
