All steps to ensure tourists’ safety in Kerala: Minister

The government will take steps to ensure the safety of tourists visiting the State, Minister for Tourism A.P. Anil Kumar has said.

Inaugurating the renovated Samudra beach park at Kovalam on Wednesday, the Minister said the government would not tolerate anything that would hamper the safety and security of tourists.

The Minister said all steps would be taken for the development of the beach resort.

The beach park, renovated at a cost of Rs.32 lakh, would be converted into a venue for cultural programmes. Steps would be taken to ensure that the District Tourism Promotion Council organised the programmes directly, the Minister said.

Jameela Prakasham, MLA, presided. Mayor K. Chandrika was the chief guest.
