A learning experience: Aiswarya Dhanush

Commercial cinema and film festivals should not be set apart, instead, festivals should be venues to showcase good movies to a larger audience, film-maker Aiswarya Rajnikanth Dhanush has said.

She was speaking at the Meet-the-Director programme, part of the International Film Festival Kerala 2012, here on Tuesday.

Three was chosen for IFFK. Such film festivals are a great venue, especially for young film-makers to showcase their work. It was also a learning experience and an opportunity to meet different directors and discuss different genres, she said. But if we have the talent and confidence and if the producers are confident of your work, it is not difficult to get a producer,” she said in reply to a query.
