: Three persons have been arrested in connection with the alleged kidnapping and molestation of a minor Dalit girl at Mangalapuram.
The arrested were identified as Krishna Kumar, alias Unni, of Murukkumpuzha; Anish, alias Libu, of Pothencode; and Prabhosh of Pullanpara. The first accused is absconding. He faked love and took her around to various places where she was molested. He then introduced her to the other three who also molested her.
The incident came to light when the parents of the girl filed a complaint at the Mangalapuram police station that she was missing. The girl had been picked up by Prabhosh who molested her. She managed to escape from the there and later gave a statement that the three had molested her at various times.

The case was investigated by a team led by Attingal Deputy Superintendent of Police P.T. Ajith Kumar under the supervision of K. Shefeen Ahmed, Superintendent of Police, Thiruvananthapuram Rural.
