Seven Malayalam movies have been included in the feature film section of the upcoming International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK).
They are Indian Rupee , Friday , Ee Adutha Kaalathu , Ithra Maathram , Ozhimuri , Aakaashathinte Niram and Chayillyam .

The film in which Fahad plays an auto driver was shot in Alappuzha.

The film, directed by Arun Kumar Aravind, has its story penned by Murali Gopi, who plays a leading role in it.
Based on novel
Ithra Maathram takes the name of the novel on which the movie is based.
The film, directed by K. Gopinathan, is about the memories that people have about a woman who died an untimely death.
Biju Menon, Shwetha Menon, and Malavika don the main roles.
Ozhimuri is written by Jayamohan and directed by Madhupal.
Lal, Mallika, Asif Ali, Bhavana and Shwetha Menon are the main actors. The film portrays the matrilineal system that prevailed in the Nair community in erstwhile Travancore.
Aakashathinte Niram , directed by Biju, stars Indrajith and Amala Paul and narrates the life of an old man and the transformation he brings about in another person.
Colour red
Chayillyam, directed by Manoj Kana and starring M.R. Gopakumar, Anumol K, Jijoy, and Chempil Ashokan, speaks of the different roles that the colour red plays in the life of women.
