Parents, students stage protest at CEE office

A section of parents and students staged a protest in front of the office of the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations here on Sunday, alleging irregularities in the filling of vacant MBBS and BDS seats through spot admissions.

The parents and students grew restive over what they perceived to be irregularities in the spot admissions but the officials at the commissioner’s office explained that there was nothing irregular about the admissions which were being carried out in a transparent manner.

Commissioner of Entrance Examinations B.S. Mavoji told the media that all eligible person had been intimated about the spot admissions precisely to ensure that the process was carried out in the most transparent manner.

Later, the commissioner’s office released a list of the five students who had been granted admission through spot admission.
