Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has despatched a lawyer to the African nation of Togo to secure the release of four Keralites suspected to be victims of an international job racket.
The Togo authorities had jailed K.A. Shaji, Tharun Babu, Nithin Babu and O.A. Godwin on charge of entering the country without proper documents.
Their relatives told the State government that a recruitment agent based in Ghana had cheated them.
