Wilfy Rebimbus remembered

The young and the old relived the memories of singer Wilfy Rebimbus by witnessing a colourful presentation of his songs at the St. Joseph Church grounds here on Sunday evening.

The event “Ek Dees Wilfyaba Songhim” (one day with Wilfy Rebimbus) was organised by the church to raise funds for medical, education, and housing needs of the poor.

Among the presentations that drew a huge applause was

Sang Tun Mujha … sung by Nishmita. In this song, the lyricist takes the audience through the memories of the days spent in school and about stories they heard from grandparents.

The other song that drew appreciation was the one by Veena Rebimbus and Vishwas Rebimbus, who presented a scene of trendy couple visiting the church. In the song

Mog Kelo Sangta So … the husband and wife comment on each other and hold the other responsible for not hearing the sermons during the mass.

Prem Lobo and Babita Pinto presented a sentimental song Kitya Katir Bhawa Muja, which is on the sister-brother relationship. There was a song with Polka dance.

Charlene Rebimbus, Mumita Veigas and Claud D'Souza. The troupe received good support from Pappan on keyboard, Joswin Pinto on lead guitar, Naizen on trumpet, Linus on Bass Guitar and Shabbir Das on Tabala.
