The mother of a four-year-old girl, who was allegedly sexually assaulted by a van driver in March this year, has accused the school and Lady Goschen Hospital authorities of illegally leaking the girl’s wound certificate.

In a complaint to Police Commissioner S. Murugan filed on Tuesday, the girl’s mother has accused the school authorities of procuring the wound certificate, dated March 13, from the hospital and distributing it to the parents of school students.

With such an act, the school authorities and the hospital have revealed the identity of the girl, she said. The mother of the girl has also accused the school and hospital authorities of derailing the ongoing investigation, which is now being done by the Criminal Investigation Department.

Mr. Murugan said the complaint has been forwarded to the jurisdictional Ullal police station.

It could be a case of defamation. They are looking into other criminal provisions that could be invoked. A copy of the complaint has been sent to the Criminal Investigation Department, he said

Meanwhile, the Criminal Investigation Department has taken over investigation of the case from the Ullal police. The Ullal Police have already arrested the van driver.
