Students should acquire knowledge and not mere information, Raghotham Rao, director of Human Networking Academy, Bangalore, told pre-university students here on Sunday.
Addressing them at a youth programme organised by Ramakrishna Math on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda at the math, he advised students to think positively and wisely.
Mr. Rao said that positive thinking led to positive action. Success was nothing but positive realisation of worthy goals. He said that Swami Vivekananda emphasised that an individual should develop the habit of listening to others. The person should have an unbiased mind while listening to others. Mr. Rao said Vivekananda always admitted his fault.

Mr. Rao played students a video clipping titled “who is blind?”. It showed children leaving a stone on a road after using it as a stump for playing cricket. None who passed by the road removed it. While walking some stumble over it but never bother to remove it. Finally a visually impaired person removes it after he finds the stone through his walking stick.
