Samiti condemns action against Baba Ramdev

Members of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and the Bharat Swabhimana and Patanjali Yoga Samiti on Monday condemned the action against Baba Ramdev on Sunday midnight. They carried out protest in front of the office of the Deputy Commissioner and performed homas .

‘Manmohan responsible'

MLA Raghupati Bhat said on Monday that the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government led by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should own moral responsibility for using force against yoga guru Baba Ramdev and his followers in Delhi.

Mr. Bhat was speaking at a dharna organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) district unit in Udupi.

He said the ruthless action by the Delhi police was a grave attack on the fundamental rights of the citizens. Earlier,
