Re-polling in two booths

Re-polling would be held at Booth No. 196 of Paduperar polling station in Mangaluru taluk and Booth No. 173 of Bandaru-2 polling station on Sunday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Gram panchayat elections at these booths on Friday had been countermanded following discrepancies in ballot papers. Voters in these booths have been urged to exercise their franchise on Sunday by the district administration.

Certificate course in tourist guide

Mangalore University’s department of MBA is launching regular four-months Certificate Course in Tourist Guide Training from June 3 at Mangalagangothri Campus. This unique job-oriented training programme is sponsored by the Department of Tourism, State Government. The training programme is free and 40 trainees would get a stipend of Rs. 1,000 for three months, a release from the university said. It also includes one month of free study tour, field visits, training with travel agencies etc. Candidates must have passed II PU to be eligibile.
