Rajiv Nagar colony to see road after 13 years

March 16, 2013 12:42 pm | Updated 12:42 pm IST - Mangalore:

Tucked away on the fringes of the city, around 150 houses in Rajiv Nagar, Shaktinagar — a colony started 13 years ago — will see roads, water and sanitary connections if the State government’s Rs. 1-crore package comes to fruition.

Inaugurating the work on Friday, Mangalore City South MLA N. Yogish Bhat said the roads would be laid within four days, while work on construction of water tank and sump would “start soon”. He said the project had been delayed as contractors had not been ready to take up the project.

Mr. Bhat implored those gathered at the function to recall the “development” works undertaken by the BJP.
