Artists of the Manipal Sand Heart Team carved a clay sculpture, to raise awareness about the plight of those affected by agrichemical endosulfan in parts of the coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada and Kasaragod district in Kerala, at Palimar village in Udupi district on October 18.
The sculpture will be on display at Pinto Villa in Palimar till October 21.
A press release issued here on Friday stated that Srinath Manipal, Venki Palimar and Ravi Hirebettu had carved the sculpture during a clay sculpture camp for art lovers organised by Vruksha Kala of Udupi in Palimar. Nearly 130 art lovers, including schoolchildren and their parents, participated in the camp.
