A pregnant woman was found murdered in a cowshed of her house at Gopady village near Kundapur on Saturday.

The Kundapur police gave the name of the woman as Indira (36). They said that her head was found bludgeoned with a stone. Indira was sitting on the veranda of her house at around 4.30 p.m.

Her sister Prathima was in the kitchen and heard some noise. She came out to check and saw her sister dead in the cowshed and raised an alarm. She also saw a person whose name she gave as Prashanth, there. Indira’s clothes were dishevelled, the police quoted her as saying.
