Joining the tribe of politicians who are opposing the government’s move of naming T. Sham Bhat, Commissioner, BDA, for the post of chairman of the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC), senior Congress leader and former Union Minister B. Janardhana Poojary on Saturday appealed to the Governor to reject the proposal on the grounds that he was facing allegations.

Mr. Poojary asked how Chief Minister Siddaramaiah could not find an “honest” person from among six crore population in the State, who was not facing allegations, to be appointed as the chairman.

The decision of the Chief Minister indicated that he was moving towards weakening the Congress in the State.
