Open House in Mangalore University from May 16

It aims to attract students for postgraduate courses

Mangalore University will conduct a two-day open house on its Mangalagangotri campus from May 16 to showcase its postgraduate courses.

The open house is to attract students for its postgraduate courses, at its two constituent colleges in Mangaluru and Madikeri and in its postgraduate centre in Chikka Aluvara, Kodagu, a release said.

Students can visit all 24 postgraduate departments in the campus in addition to the university library and other laboratories and facilities.

Its postgraduate centre at Chikka Aluvara will conduct the open house on June 21.

In addition, the university college in Mangaluru will conduct it on June 20 and June 21 and Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa College in Madikeri, both are constituent colleges of the university, will organise it on June 20.

“The open house is being organised for the third time in Mangalore University which aims to provide first-hand information to prospective students, parents and guardians about the various facilities, faculty achievements and job opportunities available to the students,” the release said.

Students, who want to study postgraduate courses, can interact with the respective faculty members and familiarise themselves with the infrastructure, research and laboratory facilities, it added.
