K. Raghupati Bhat, MLA, thanked Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa for waiving loans of 23,507 fishermen and fisherwomen in three coastal districts amounting to ₹ 60.584 crore. This decision was taken after a delegation of legislators from the coastal districts meet Mr. Yediyurappa and sought loan waiver, a press release said here on Monday.
