A 38-year-old resident of Manjeshwar died after his car fell into a gorge in Boliyar near Mangaluru on Friday morning.
According to the Konaje police, Mohammed Yusuf, a resident of Kadambaru near Manjeshwar, had gone to his relative’s house in Sakaleshpur to invite them for the marriage of his brother’s daughter. His friend, Khalil Bajal of Macchampady, was accompanying him.
While returning home, Yusuf lost control of the vehicle and it fell into the gorge in Boliyar.

Yusuf died on the spot, while Khalil, who was injured in the accident, was admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru for treatment, the Konaje police added.
