This car too was parked near the beach, the police said.

Cash taken away

A gang drilled a hole in the wall of an outlet of Medplus off Bejai Kapikad Road here on Sunday night and took away ₹ 4,000 in cash.

The gang also made an attempt to enter the adjoining jewellery shop in a similar way.

The Urwa police said that the Medplus staff noticed the theft on Monday morning when they opened the shop.

The gang had ransacked the pharmacy before taking away the cash.

The gang tried in vain to enter the adjoining Kamakshi Jewellers.

The police said that they are working on some clues.
