The body of Janata Dal (Secular) activist Girish Putran (50) was found with severe injuries in Permude, near MRPL, on the outskirts of the city on Saturday evening.
According to the Bajpe Police, the policemen on patrol found the body “with injuries caused by sharp weapons” on the neck, face, and stomach at around 5.30 p.m.
The victim, a real estate agent and the president of JD(S) Hoige Bazaar Fisheries Unit, was reported missing since Friday by his family at Mangalore South Police Station.
