Jabalpur-Coimbatore train extended

The weekly special will run on Saturdays from Jabalpur

The Railways has decided to extend the operation of Train Nos 02198/02197 Jabalpur-Coimbatore-Jabalpur Weekly Special to clear the extra rush of passengers.

A release from Konkan Railway here said that Train No 02198 Jabalpur-Coimbatore Weekly Special will leave Jabalpur at 11 a.m. on Saturdays (July 8 to September 23) to reach Coimbatore at 5 a.m. the third day.

Train No 02197 Coimbatore-Jabalpur Weekly Special will leave Coimbatore at 7 p.m. on Mondays (from July 10 to September 25) to reach Jabalpur at 12.45 p.m. on the third day.

The trains will halt at Narsinghpur, Gadarwara, Pipariya, Itarsi, Harda, Khandwa, Bhusaval, Manmad, Igatpuri, Panvel, Roha, Khed, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Kudal, Thivim, Madgaon, Karwar, Kumta, Mookambika Road Byndoor, Udupi, Mulki, Mangaluru Jn., Kasaragod, Kanhangad, Payyanur, Kannur, Thalasaery, Vadakara, Kozhikode, Tirur, Shoranur Jn. and Palakkad.

The train comprises 18 Coaches, including one Composite (2 tier and 3 tier) AC coach, one 3 tier AC coach, 10 Sleeper Class coaches, four General Class coaches and two luggage-cum-brake vans.
