Sanjay Gupta, Director (Operations and Commercial), Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd., has been put in charge of Chairman and Managing Director of the corporation with effect from Tuesday. A release said Mr. Gupta took over the charges after completing the tenure of Banu Prakash Tayal as the CMD of the Corporation.
Mr. Gupta is a Mechanical Engineer from the Council of Engineering Institution, UK. He took over as Director (Operations and Commercial) of Konkan Railway in September 2013. He has worked on several posts and assignments in the Indian Railways for 29 years.
