A 17-year-old college student is feared to have drowned in a lake near Surinje under Mulki police station limits on Sunday afternoon.

A 17-year-old college student is feared to have drowned in a lake near Surinje under Mulki police station limits on Sunday afternoon.

According to the Mulki police, Rohit (17), a second PU student of Pakshikere, had gone there for a bath with four of his classmates late on Sunday morning. However, soon Rohit was separated from the group and his classmates called the police when he did not surface.

The police said the body had not been recovered.
