Ramprasath Manohar, Deputy Commissioner, said that determination and hard work will help students pass examinations and excel in life.

He was speaking after inaugurating The Hindu Assistance and Guidance Session for class 10 students to ‘score even more’, organised by The Hindu , in association with Vikas PU College, Mangaluru, here on Saturday.

Over 200 students from various schools in the city attended the event.

“SSLC (Class X) is very crucial for students to build and shape their future career. If you secure more marks, through determination and hard work, it would help you in getting higher education and come up in life,” he said.

Mr. Ramprasath also underlined the need for students to decide on what they wanted to do in future and strive hard to realise it.

“Whatever challenges you come across, face it with confidence and emerge successful,” he said.

K.V. Rajendra, Chief Executive Officer, Ballari Zilla Panchayat, exhorted the students to inculcate sincerity, dedication, determination, discipline and hard work, essential for one to become successful in life.

Syed Aejaz Ahmed, trainer from CIGMA, Bengaluru, gave hints to the students on how to memorise and have a better understanding of the subject and get more marks in the exams.

Vidya Kamat, administrator of Vikas PU College and main sponsor, also spoke.

Mathew, Circulation Executive, The Hindu, Mangaluru welcomed. Appanna Metri, Circulation executive, proposed a vote of thanks.
