Govt reserves 20 acres land for CRPF near Mangalore, says D.C.

The district administration has reserved 20 acres of land in Badaga Ekkar village in Mangalore taluk for the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), according to A.B.Ibrahim, Deputy Commissioner, Dakshina Kannada.

Disclosing this at the special meeting of Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat council Mr. Ibrahim said that the CRPF is planning to use the land for stationing platoons of the Rapid Action Force (RAF).

He said that a Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) rank official will visit the village on Wednesday to inspect the land. The CRPF would take a final call on having its presence here.

Mr. Ibrahim said that so far the district administration has handed over 476 acres of land in the district for developing them as housing sites for the poor.
