Deputy Commissioner A.B. Ibrahim on Saturday expressed his displeasure over the delay in the construction of the new five-storeyed block of the Government Lady Goschen Hospital.

Reviewing the progress of the work on Saturday, Mr. Ibrahim found the project contractor Krishna Shelters had completed only around 30 per cent of the work in nearly 11 months since assigning the work. Mr. Ibrahim pulled up the two project management agencies – the Delhi-based KNY Projects and Nirmiti Kendra – for lack of coordination in the execution of the work.

The Managing Director of Krishna Shelters Raghavendra K.A. said the construction came to a halt for nearly two months for delay in getting necessary clearances and approvals. Mr. Raghavendra said bills worth Rs. 1.6 crore was to be cleared.
