Two Dalit activists exchanged blows in the chamber of the Sub-Inspector of the Urwa Police Station on Tuesday evening.
Lingappa Nantoor, leader of Democratic Youth Federation of India’s Dalit faction, had come along with a group of DYFI activists to the police station to report against a false complaint lodged against their activist Manoj by Dalit Sangarsha Samiti (Ambedkar Vaada) activist Sadashiva.
As the group was coming out Mr. Sadashiva entered the chamber of the police Sub-Inspector and demanded registering of complaint against Mr. Manoj. There was heated exchange of words between Mr. Sadashiva and Mr. Nantoor and a fracas ensued. The Sub Inspector separated the two. He then registered cases against Mr. Sadashiva and Mr. Nantoor for obstructing police while on duty, the police said.

A woman, who runs seven ambulances, has filed a complained with the Mangalore South police about miscreants damaging her vehicles parked near Wenlock Hospital on Monday. Radhika said her ambulances had become immobile.
