Clash: six persons held

The Mulki police have arrested six persons allegedly involved in the clash between two groups near Kordappu Daiwastana in Lingappayya Kadu on Thursday night.

According to the police, Nitin and his friends reportedly accosted Hafeez and his friends, who were reportedly speaking to each other by parking their vehicles on the road.

Hafeez and his friends refused to move away their vehicles and this led to a heated exchange of words and blows. Nitin reportedly suffered an injury on his right leg and his brother, who heard about the incident, rushed to the spot and reportedly hit Hafeez on his head with a heavy stick.

Based on the complaints from the injured persons, the police arrested six persons, the police said

Valuables stolen

Thieves broke into a house at Beedinagudde and decamped with Rs. 89,000 in cash and gold and silver ornaments worth Rs. 34,000.

According to the police, thieves broke into the house of Pradeep Kumar at Beedinagudde between January 21 and 23.
