SSLC results

In all, 116 schools in Dakshina Kannada have secured cent per cent result in this year’s SSLC examination. A.B. Ibrahim, Deputy Commissioner, at a meeting here on Monday congratulated the heads of those schools. Of them, 37 schools are in Bantwal taluk, 15 in Belthangady, 11 in Mangaluru North, 14 in Mangaluru South, eight in Moodbidri, 19 in Puttur and 12 schools in Sullia taluk. — Special Correspondent

ICSE results

St. Theresa’s School in the city has recorded cent per cent result in the ICSE (Indian School Certificate Examinations) Class 10 board examinations, 2015, for the tenth consecutive year. Of the 90 students who appeared for the examinations, 74 passed with distinction and 15 with first division. Sharath S. topped the school with 95.66 per cent. — Special Correspondent

Music festival

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and Sangeetha Parishath will organise ‘Yuva Sangeethotsava’ at Sharada Vidyalaya, Kodialbail, on May 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There will be Carnatic vocals by Pavandeep, Yogakeerthana and Karthik of Bengaluru.

Public hearing

A committee formed by Suvarna Arogya Suraksha Trust to inquire into two deaths following a free health check-up camp at Primary Health Centre, Panaje, on March 10, will conduct a public hearing at the same PHC on May 22 from 11 a.m. Of the persons screened at the camp, 10 persons had undergone surgery. — Special Correspondent
