Ten days after losing their father, two children, who were rescued from a pitiable state from a house, lost their mother on Saturday. Six-year-old Manish and his brother Samant (4) were found in their Shaktinagar house with father Shrinivas (38) and mother Mallika (32) unconscious. A team from the Child Development Programme Office and Childline rescued them on May 20 and moved the parents to Government Wenlock Hospital. Shrinivas died on the same day, and Mallika died in the hospital on Saturday. The children are with their uncle Prakash.
