Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday asked BJP workers to ensure good polling in Bantwal constituency where the party is facing B. Ramanath Rai of the Congress. Addressing an election campaign at BC Road after a roadshow, Mr. Adityanath said: “The Minister from the Siddaramaiah Cabinet is here. Hence, each vote is important.”

Accusing the Congress government of stalling development in Karnataka in the last five years, Mr. Adityanath said that a large number of farmers have committed suicide and a number of youths have left the State in search of employment elsewhere in the country. The Karnataka Government was soft against Jihadi elements who have murdered many innocent BJP party workers, he said.

Turning his ire on Mr. Rai, Mr. Adityanath said that he was responsible for denying mid-day meals to Srirama School in Kalladka that was being given by a temple. He accused Mr. Rai of foisting false criminal cases against innocent BJP activists. “If our party comes to power, we will first restore mid-day meals to students and quash all false cases booked against our activists,” he said.

Mr. Adityanath said that a BJP government alone can provide good governance and ensure development of Karnataka.
