Ahmedabad special train to halt at Kundapur

The Ahmedabad-Mangaluru Junction-Ahmedabad weekly air-conditioned superfast special train (09415/09416) has been provided with a commercial halt at Kundapur. During the two initial runs of the special service, the train was not given commercial halt at Kundapur.

During the Monsoon timetable, which is for the service leaving Ahmedabad on October 25, the train would arrive at Kundapur at 4.08 p.m. the next day and leave to Mangaluru Junction at 4.10 p.m., while the Mangaluru Junction-Ahmedabad Special would arrive at Kundapur at 12.36 a.m. and depart at 12.38 a.m. in the intervening night of October 26 and 27.

During non-monsoon period, which is after October 31, the Ahmedabad-Mangaluru Junction special would arrive at Kundapur at 2.56 p.m. and leave at 2.58 p.m., while Mangaluru Junction-Ahmedabad special would arrive at Kundapur at 8.32 p.m. and depart at 8.34 p.m., said a release from Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd. Train number 09415 Ahmedabad-Mangaluru Junction weekly superfast special would leave Ahmedabad at 4.15 p.m. on November 1, 8, 15 and 22 (Sundays) to arrive at Mangaluru Junction at 5.30 p.m. the next day.

Train number 09416 Mangaluru Junction-Ahmedabad weekly superfast special would leave Mangaluru Junction at 6.35 p.m. on November 2, 9, 16 and 23 (Mondays) to reach Ahmedabad at 11.15 p.m. the next day.

The train would stop at Nadiad, Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Vapi, Dhanu Road, Boisar, Vasai Road, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Kudal, Thivim, Karmali, Madgaon, Karwar, Kumta, Bhatkal, Kundapur and Udupi.

It comprises AC-LHB coaches in the following manner:— five two-tier AC coaches, eight three-tier AC coaches, 1 pantry car and 2 generator–cum-luggage vans, said a release from Southern Railway.
