Bus fare hike from Monday

The Regional Transport Authority has increased the private bus fares with effect from Monday.

According to an official release issued in Mangalore on Saturday, the minimum fare across all types of services is Rs. 6 instead of the present Rs. 5.

Express and ordinary

Following are the revised fares for express and ordinary buses for different km slabs with old fares in bracket: up to 6.5 km: Rs. 6 (Rs. 5) 6.6-13 km: Rs. 10 (Rs. 9); 13.1-19.5 km: Rs. 15 (Rs. 13.5); 19.5-26 km: 20 (18); 26.1-32.5 km: 25 (23); 32.6-39 km: 30 (27); 39.1-45.5 km: 35 (32); 45.6-52 km: 39 (35); 52.1-58.5 km: 42 (38); 58.6-65 km: 49 (44); 65.1-71.5 km: 53 (48); 71.6-78 km: 57 (52); 78.1-84.5 km: 62 (56); 84.6-91 km: 67 (61); 91.1-97.5 km: 70 (64); 97.6-104 km: 75 (68); 104.1-110.5 km: 77 (70); 110.6-117 km: 82 (74); 117.1-123.5 km: 87 (78.5); 123.6-130 km: 90 (81.5); 130.1-136.5 km: 96 (86.5); 136.6-143 km: 100 (90.5); 143.1-149.5 km: 105 (95.5); 149.6-156 km: 110 (99.5); 156.1-162.5 km: 114 (103).

City buses

Following are the new fares for city buses for different km slabs with old fares in bracket: up to 2 km: Rs. 6 (Rs. 5); 2.1-4 km: Rs. 6 (Rs. 5.5); 4.1-6 7 km: (6); 6.1-8 km: 8 (7); 8.1-10 km: 9 (7.5); 10.1-12 km: 10 (8.5); 12.1-14 km: 10 (9); 14.1-16 km: 11 (9.5); 16.1-18 km: 11 (10); 18.1-20 km: 12 (11).

Rural services

Following are the revised fares city rural services for different km slabs km with old fares in bracket: 0.1-2 km: Rs. 6 (Rs. 5); 2.1-4 km: Rs. 6 (Rs. 5.5); 4.1-6 km: 7 (6); 6.1-8 km: 7 (6.5); 8.1-10 km: 8 (7); 10.1-12 km: 9 (8); 12.1-14 km: 10 (9); 14.1-16 km: 11 (10); 16.1-18 km: 12 (10.5); 18.1-20 km: 13 (11.5); 20.1-22 km: 14 (12.5); 22.1-24 km: 15 (13.5); 24.1-26 km: 16 (14); 26.1-28 km: 17 (15).
