Youth Brigade test held in Madurai

Around 800 candidates absented themselves from the written test for the recruitment of Tamil Nadu Special Police Youth Brigade held here on Sunday.

The city police and the Madurai rural police will be recruiting 100 and 225 candidates respectively. In the city, out of the 1,426 eligible candidates, 130 failed to turn up at the two examination centres. For the tests conducted in seven centres by the rural district police, 669 candidates absented themselves and 5,014 sat for the exam. The candidates had to answer 100 objective type questions in 1 hour 40 minutes. Those who clear the test will be called for physical examination.

The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Anand Kumar Somani, inspected the written examination held at five centres in Virudhunagar district for the selection of 320 personnel. The examinations were conducted at K.V. Sala Boys Higher Secondary School on Madurai Road, S. Vellaichamy Nadar Polytechnic near Virudhunagar East Police Station, V.H.N.S.N. College on Aruppukottai Road, Sri Vidya Engineering College on Sivakasi Road and A.A.A. College of Engineering and Technology at Amathur.
