Two minor boys, riding on a motorbike, were killed when a speeding State-run bus hit them from behind on Madurai-Rameswaram highway at Silaiman on Thursday morning.
The police identified the deceased as H. Mohammed Kameruddin (15) and M. Syed Saifullah (15). The duo was going to school when the bus proceeding to Rameswaram fatally knocked them down at around 8.30 a.m.
The victims were studying 10th standard at a Government higher secondary school at Puliyankulam.

The students were going to the school for attending special classes, the police said.
The Silaiman police are investigating.
