Anti-Corruption Movement’s state-level seminar held here on Sunday passed many resolutions which were aimed at reducing corruption level. It demanded that laws should be framed to prevent government officials intentionally delaying work for civilians expecting bribes. Likewise laws should be framed to retrieve assets of persons who have amassed wealth disproportionate to their income and brought to the government treasury.
Another issue that was raised was on the major anomalies reported in school education department where private schools were demanding donations and charging exorbitant fee from students, which was against the law. The school education department has been found to be apathetic. So the State Government should initiate necessary action to prevent such practices.
Total prohibition should be introduced and the government should look for alternative means of revenue generation.
